The Journey Begins Here.

Stephen Bankole-Wright (sbwmusic) has been making music for the past decade. Growing up in the Church, he sang in the choir, performed in plays, and eventually became a worship leader for his church.  He was greatly influenced by his parents who always sang and played gospel music in the home, his brother who is a lyricist and rapper, and his late piano teacher, who introduced him to the world of music. His first song, "Summer Night" resonated deeply amongst his peers and family. "Real Love" resonated deeply with his listeners and greatly introduced his audience to that familiar upbeat, soulful style that he implements in much of his music. "Sing Joy" was a Christmas anthem of hope for those struggling with pain loss and grief. He knows that life is more than just a song to be sung, or music to be heard. SBW aims to create art that helps people become a better version of themselves, as he strives to be a better person as well. In a world where truth is hidden and values are challenged, SBW fights for authenticity, integrity, and vulnerability, which can be heard in every lyric he writes.
